InstaPay with More Than One Bank on the Same Line: Show Your Username, Link and QR

Many merchants now have InstaPay on more than one bank. That helps with transfer limits or separating income, but customers can get confused about which username or link to use. Here is how to receive InstaPay on several banks on the same Daffaa line.

Each InstaPay account is its own payment method

A line (phone number) can carry only one mobile-wallet type, but you can add InstaPay alongside it, and add InstaPay more than once, one per bank account.

Steps

  1. From Stores, open the store menu and choose Lines & Payments.
  2. Next to the line, click Payment methods.
  3. Under Add a payment type choose InstaPay, enter the InstaPay username (leave it empty to receive on the line number), the optional ipn.eg payment link and an optional QR image (JPG, PNG or WEBP up to 2 MB).
  4. Choose Visible to customers, Show number, Show QR and Show link, then click Add payment type. Repeat for the second bank.

What customers see

On the hosted invoice page, the InstaPay tab lists each visible InstaPay method on its own row. Only one QR image is shown (the first uploaded), and the store payment page and widget show the first visible InstaPay method, so add your main account first. All InstaPay methods are labelled "InstaPay", so pick usernames that are easy to tell apart and mention them in your payment instructions.

Confirmation

InstaPay transfers carry no sender phone, so Daffaa confirms them by the reference number on the receipt (12 digits, or letters and digits), or the customer's bank-registered name. The SMS from every bank must arrive on a phone linked to Daffaa; if a bank account is registered on another phone, link that phone too.

Before you announce it

Open the payment page on another phone, send a small test transfer to each account, use whole-pound amounts, and hide an account temporarily when it reaches its limit. Sign up for Daffaa to get started.
